compass-forge-credential answers git for every owner, the default included, from its owner file, or from a host-default file written for an owner-less credential, instead of falling through to gh auth git-credential; its token subcommand and the default-owner marker go once jj-vine leaves the image, superseding the DL-563 clause that the helper answers jj-vine and falls through to hosts.yml for the default owner
